More information on the EPC can be found on the 'What is in the HIP?' page. Why do I need a HIP? All residential properties for sale now require a Home Information Pack (HIP) by law before they can be placed on the market. The introduction of HIPs by the Government is designed to make the home buying and selling process more consumer friendly, quicker and easier to understand. Providing the HIP up front enables a potential buyer to make an informed decision when making an offer on a home. Information regarding the energy efficiency and condition of the property is made available before viewing. This adds confidence, commitment and certainty to the purchase, eliminating the risk of the sale falling through due to hidden problems, weeks or months after an offer has been accepted. | Customer Comments: "I managed to get a 0.25% discount on my estate agents fees for having my own HIP, saving me a total of £500!"
